Van Cleef & Arpels / The Rediscovered Gesture: Montans Celtic Torque
Archaeology and craftsmanship
Cover photography of the exhibition «The Rediscovered Gesture: Reconstructing the Montans Celtic Torque», presented at L'École des Arts Joailliers (Van Cleef & Arpels). A first-of-its-kind research project, at the crossroads of archaeology and the history of craftsmanship, carried out in partnership with the Centre archéologique de Montans and the Musée d'Archéologie nationale.
The exhibition retraces the reconstruction of a Celtic necklace over 2,000 years old, led by Antoine Legouy, Meilleur Ouvrier de France.
Showcasing the pieces and the set design
Photographing an exhibition of this nature means capturing both the beauty of the pieces and the care of the set design: the lighting, the arrangement of the display cases, the historical weight of the objects on show.
This project is part of an ongoing collaboration with an agency, around the exhibitions and events of L'École des Arts Joailliers. The photographs are credited on L'École's official website.
